Henderson fit to face the Crusaders

RECOVERED: Tyron Henderson

Kent Spitfires v Middlesex Crusaders

SPITFIRES seem likely to name the same starting 11 for the fifth game running as they bid to cement their place at the top of the Twenty20 Cup southern qualifying group against struggling Middlesex tonight.

The teams will do battle from 5.30pm in front of another big crowd at Beckenham where local lad Robert Key will hope to name an unchanged 11 to that which beat the Crusaders at Lord's last Friday.

The only slight doubt concerned new signing Tyron Henderson, who came off during Sunday's win over Hampshire with heat exhaustion, but the South African all-rounder is thought to be over the problem and fit to take his place today.

Ahead of the game Kent's director of coaching Graham Ford, said: "Having won three out of four the guys are doing well and feeling reasonably confident so I don’t see much need to change a winning side unless we have to."

Injury ravaged Middlesex, without a win and without a chance of making the knock-out stages, will hope to welcome back Jamie Dalrymple after England one-day duty.

A thunder storm hit the area early afternoon, which has cast a slight doubt over the fixture.

Kent from: Dexter, Stevens, Hall, Tredwell, van Jaarsveld, Key, Walker, Henderson, Patel, O’Brien, Khan, Denly, Cook.

* Mark Pennell's match report will appear here at the close of play tonight.
