KENT'S championship clash with Gloucestershire was in danger of losing a second consecutive day to poor weather in Canterbury.

Having lost Saturday to a waterlooged outfield, match umpires David Constant and Barrie Leadbeater said they would insepect conditions again at noon.

But forecasts for thunder storms and a lack of any drying wine meant that prospects for play remain gloomy.

On day one Kent were dismissed for 129 and responded by reducing Gloucestershire to 127 for five.
