JEPSON: "Maybe my lads are a bit too nice at times"

Yeovil Town v GillinghamGILLINGHAM boss Ronnie Jepson says his players must be more ruthless in an effort to improve their away form.

The Gills have picked up just six points on their travels in contrast to the 21 points they have got at Priestfield.

They travel to Yeovil on Saturday on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Port Vale on Tuesday.

Jepson said: "The impetus is always on the home side and the crowd expect them to take the fight to the opposition.

"You’ve got to match that and overcome it. Maybe my lads are a bit too nice and a bit too naive at times."

Jepson is expecting a tough game against the Glovers and added: "Yeovil are another good side who have been in form at home.

"Win, lose or draw, if the boys put in like they can, then I’ll hold my hands up sometimes and say you’ve been beaten by the better team."
