JEPSON: "I am sure there will be some first-day nerves"

Cheltenham Town v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson is looking forward to dispensing with the talk and getting into the action when the League 1 campaign starts at Cheltenham on Saturday.

And while his team are in confident mood and eager for the kick-off, he is expecting a tough baptism to the new season.

He said: "We're going there in confident mood, although I am sure there will be some first-day nerves. Hopefully we'll have something at 10 to five on Saturday afternoon.

"You can talk about pre-season but talk is cheap and it is about getting out there and showing your worth."
