Tranmere Rovers v Gillingham
GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson has assured fans that he is the man to take the club forward.
Pressure from the club’s supporters is mounting after a run which has seen the Gills pick up just one point from their last five games.
As a result, they find themselves 16th in the League 1 table – 12 points off the play-offs and just seven points off the relegation places.
The Gills face Tranmere at Priestfield tonight with the players set to perform in front of the Sky Sports cameras for the first time this season.
Despite financial constraints and the lack of new faces at the club during this month’s January transfer window, Jepson is refusing to feel the pressure.
He said: "I’ve just got to get on with it. It’s like a lot of businesses and there’s no point groaning.
"I’ll just work hard all the time I’m wanted here. I’ll give it my best but obviously people do get frustrated.
"I’m just going to pick people who along with my staff give 110 per cent and I’ll see where that takes me."
