JEPSON: "We need goals from throughout the team"

MANAGER Ronnie Jepson has called on all members of his Gillingham squad to fire the club up the League 1 table.

The Gills travel to Bradford on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Brighton on Tuesday.

Gillingham created a number of second-half chances at the Withdean Stadium but went down to a 67th-minute goal from striker Jake Robinson.

Jepson said: "The hardest thing in football is to score a goal. I’ve got Andrew Crofts here and we need goals from him, Michael Flynn and others. We need goals from throughout the team."

But the Gills boss is not concerned by the lack of a proven goalscorer at the club and added: "If you want to be guaranteed 20 goals a season you have to pay £15,000 to £20,000 a week.

"We’ve got three lads in Ndumbu-Nsungu, McDonald and Mulligan and hopefully we can turn them into goalscorers."
