JEPSON: plenty to think about

Gillingham v Doncaster

GILLINGHAM emerge from their 10-day break on Tuesday night with Ronnie Jepson’s “improve or be shipped out” message ringing in the players’ ears.

Gills will be taking on Doncaster who last week hammered Aston Villa 3-0 in the Carling Cup.

Jepson has already told some players that their time is up and for others it will be a month of uncertainty before the transfer window re-opens.

A 5-0 hammering at Colchester during Gills’ last match left Jepson fuming with his under-performing players

His injury list continues to shorten with Andy Hessenthaler, Brent Sancho, Mark Saunders and Frannie Collin all receiving much needed match-practice in the reserves last Wednesday.

With Jon Wallis back running it leaves just Chris Hope, Paul Shields and Alan Pouton injured.
