Kent will host the touring Sri Lanka side in a day/night 50-over game at Canterbury on Friday, May 16, 2014.

The Sri Lankans will arrive in the UK on May 9 and will play a 50-over game against Essex at Chelmsford three days before they face the Spitfires.

They will also play a t20 warm-up at Sussex the following Sunday before a one-off t20 international against England at the Oval and a five-match NatWest ODI series against England in late-May and June.

The tourists will also play two Tests against England at Lord’s and Headingley in June.

Kent chief executive, Jamie Clifford said: "We very much look forward to welcoming Sri Lanka to The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in May 2014 for this 50 over floodlit fixture.

"The allocation of this match to our 2014 schedule is extremely welcome and I sure it will be well supported.”

This summer Kent Spitfired lost a floodlit t20 match against the touring New Zealand side by 42 runs at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, in June.
