ROB KEY: "It was all a bit of fun"

KENT cricket captain Rob Key pocketed £10,000 for finishing runner-up in a sports celebrity cards tournament.

Key initially went head-to-head with fellow county players in the cricket heat before representing his sport in The Poker Den grand final.

The batsman then faced Phil 'The Power' Taylor (darts), Scott Gammer (boxing), Ken Doherty (snooker), Ray Parlour (football) and Brad Drew (rugby) in the final.

Doherty took the £20,000 winner’s pot, leaving Key to bank £10,000 for finishing second.

"It was all a bit of fun at first but got a little more serious the longer it went on," explained Key.
