Last gasp strike denies Dynamos

Invicta Dynamos 4 Peterborough Islanders 4

A GOAL 50 seconds from time prevented Invicta Dynamos from beating Peterborough Islanders in their final ENIHL Cup game.

The Islanders, already confirmed as finalists, stunned their hosts by moving into a 3-1 lead at the end of the first period, with only Jordy Black's strike giving the home faithful something to cheer.

Two goals from Anthony Lennon in the second period brought the Dynamos back on level terms, and when Peter Carey netted in the third they looked on course to avenge the Islanders' 5-2 victory at the end of March.

However, the aggressive visitors had other ideas, striking at the death to leave the final score 4-4.
