Bromley 2 Newport County 1

A last minute goal from former Crystal Palace midfielder Ryan Hall earned Bromley a 2-1 victory over Newport County in the Blue Square South at Hayes Lane on Saturday.

The home side started well and went in front in the seventh minute courtesy of captain Ron Gillman’s first goal of the season when he headed home a Hall corner at the near post.

Bromley took the lead into the break, but Newport came out in a more positive fashion in the second half.

The visitors equalised in the 59th minute through a Danny Rose penalty, after Sam Foley was brought down by Aaron Dalhouse.

Bromley had a couple of chances to restore their lead, before Hall struck near the end to give his side maximum points.
