FINE DEBUT: Jay McEveley

STEVE BANKS: Did what he had to do when called upon, including one particularly impressive save near the end. 6

NYRON NOSWORTHY: Looked solid at right back and lent his weight in the attacking third. 7

CHRIS HOPE: Scored the goal but also looked solid at the heart of the defence. 7

IAN COX: Had his hands full with Rob Hulse but coped admirably against the attacking threat. 7

JAY McEVELEY: A class act who had a great game on debut and saved Gills twice with vital goal line clearances. 8

NICKY SOUTHALL: Largely anonymous but made up for a lack of impact with effort. 6

MICHAEL FLYNN: Looked dangerous breaking from midfield and set up the goal. 7
