Guest runner Ben Louch (Dartford Harriers) was first past the post in Sunday's Kent Fitness Cross-Country League race at Avery Hill, writes Alan Newman.

This was the fourth of seven races to decide the awards and the league tables show Dartford Harriers leading overall from Sevenoaks and New Eltham.

Louch won the three-lap event 37 seconds clear of defending champion Chris Wyles (New Eltham), who led his improving team to third on the day and overall.

Allan Lee (M40, Sevenoaks) and James Ridger (Paddock Wood) filled the podium ahead of Chris Biddle, who led Dartford Harriers to team success.

Jill Cliff (W40, Deal Tri Club) took her third KFL women’s race win and her first in this campaign by the narrow margin of six seconds from the current league leader Clare Reeves (Dartford Harriers), who had a much more comfortable cushion of 1min37sec over Jenny Neal (W40, New Eltham).

Canterbury Harriers won the women’s team on the day and lead this category overall from Dartford Road Runners and Sevenoaks. The next KFL race is at Minnis Bay, Birchington on January 5.
