Paul Booth scored twice and Premier League target Johan Ter Horst struck the winner as Folkestone Invicta maintained their Ryman League Division 1 South play-off chase with a 3-2 win at bottom side Eastbourne Town on Wednesday evening.

Invicta trailed to Layton Schaff’s eighth minute opener, before Booth equalised three minutes later and then put them in front with a penalty inside the opening half-hour.

Frankie Chappell’s own-goal on the stroke of the interval, put the Sussex side level, before Premier League target, Johan Ter Horst, linked this week with interest from FA Cup semi-finalists Hull City, Aston Villa and Charlton Athletic, grabbed the winner 12 minutes from time - his 21st goal of the season.

Darren Marsden’s double set-up Faversham’s impressive 3-1 win at second placed Leatherhead boosting their hopes of reaching the play-offs for a second successive season.

He got his first after only three minutes, before Aaron Lacy doubled the lead after 26 minutes.

Marsden made it 3-0 with a penalty just after the hour, before former Kent striker Tom Bradbrook pulled one back immediately.

Three second half goals in the space of 18 minutes secured Chatham’s 3-1 win at Waltham Forest, their fourth straight win, to cilmb to 13th place in Ryman League Division 1 North - their highest position in the table since mid-September.

The Essex side led 1-0 at half-time, before Kieran McCann put Kevin Watson’s side level nine minutes after the break.

Ade Yusuff made it 2-1 from the spot after 66 minutes when McCann had been felled by the home keeper and Brad Potter headed in the third from a corner 18 minutes from the end to cap a perfect night for the Kent clubs.
