PARRISH: "We can't let that points gap get any bigger, so I want us to overturn them"

INVICTA DYNAMOS will be looking to peg back league leaders Bracknell when they visit the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday.

The Hornets top the English National Ice Hockey League (Conference South) with nine wins from 11 games, while the Mos are second having won all seven games.

But despite a 10-2 victory over the same opponents in the ENIHL Cup earlier this season, coach Kevin Parrish is not taking the win for granted.

He said: "They've got three or four who can put the puck in the net, notably Craig Tribe, who I tried to sign in the summer. I think he felt the distance was just a bit too far.

"But we can't let that points gap get any bigger, so I want us to overturn them.

"We also want to put on a show for our supporters. Hopefully they can really get behind us. We’ve not been too good at home ever since the Wightlink game."

The Mos recorded a 7-0 victory over Basingstoke Buffalo and a 14-3 win against Slough Harrier Hawks last weekend to keep their 100 per cent league record intact.

Face-off on Sunday is 5.15pm.
