INVICTA Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish saw his team reach the top of the ENHL South table this week and challenged them to stay there.

The Mos thrashed Solent & Gosport 24-2 at the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday to leapfrog Cardiff Devils into top spot and now need to win three of their four remaining games to clinch the title.

Parrish said: "We reassessed things after losing to Cardiff and decided we were going to take each game as it comes and not worry about what other teams are doing.

"We have now won four on the trot since then and Cardiff have lost one, so it’s all going well."

Dynamos made light work of beating Solent, leading 6-1 after the first period, 16-1 after the second and running out comfortable 24-2 winners.

Next up for Dynamos are Lee Valley Lions, who visit the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday. The Lions are currently bottom of the league, having lost all 18 of their games this season.

But Parrish is warning his players about the dangers of complacency.

He said: "This is a game we should be winning, but anything can happen and teams can always slip up.

"We need to remain focused on the game and not look forward too much. We know if we keep our winning run going we can win the title at home to Oxford on March 17 but we can’t start celebrating yet."

Dynamos may rest some of their star players against the Lions if things are going well after the first period, but winger Perry Richardson (arm) and Lake (illness) are doubts.
