Mulligan extends Gills stay

Striker Gary Mulligan has had his Gillingham contract extended for another season.

The Gills had a one-year option on Mulligan at the end of last season and have now decided to exercise it to keep the forward at Priestfield for a further 12 months.

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson was keen for Mulligan to remain at the club - if the player wanted to - and will now hope he can improve on his goal ratio which stands at 13 goals in 81 league appearances.

The 23-year-old joined the Gills from Sheffield United two years ago.
