HOLCOMBE 1sts all but clinched the National 3 title with a convincing 6-2 win at Cambridge University on Saturday.

South African Greg Nichol was again the star with Denzil Dolley providing a more than useful supporting role.

Nichol scored a first-half hat-trick and Dolley a single strike as Holcs led 4-1 at the break. Both men added another goal in the second half with the students adding one of their own.

Cambridge hit the post a couple of times with Holcs missing a couple of good chances but the Medway side romped home.
