THE Medway Messenger are ready to receive your nominations for Gillingham's August "player of the month".

Gillingham haven't made a great start to the 2007/08 season, having lost all four matches in August, but we want you to tell us who has made the best contribution in a Gills shirt.

Once your votes have been counted we will make an award to the winning player every month on the pitch before a home game at Priestfield.

All entrants will be entered into a draw for a personalised signed picture of the player of the month.

Voting will be open for a week so get your nominations in quick.

Alternatively, you can post your entry. Send a postcard headed "August player of the month" to Medway Sports Desk, Medway House, Ginsbury Close, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate, Strood, Kent, ME2 4DU. In order to be in the draw please supply your name, address and telephone number.
