Patterson in line for Gills youth team job

MARK PATTERSON is set to be announced as Gillingham's new youth team manager.
Patterson, 39, will step up from his current role as head of the club’s centre of excellence to fill the gap left by Scott Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald recently left for a similar position at Millwall.
Gillingham manager Mark Stimson said: “I trust his judgement. Mark has been around Luke Freeman and Charlie Howard and he knows the type of player I like and need.”
