Edd Vahid hopes to play against Bromley on Tuesday

RAMSGATE defender Edd Vahid has made a swift recovery after suffering blurred vision and concussion in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at fellow Ryman League Division 1 title-chasers Horsham.

He was forced off 16 minutes from time in the game at Queen Street, forcing Jim Ward's side to play the final 16 minutes with only ten men, as ex-Dover man Carl Rook headed the winner five minutes into stoppage time in front of a crowd of 707.

Vahid had twice needed treatment for head injuries, before physio Adrian Hubbard signalled he couldn't continue.

Vahid's father John said:"Edd didn't have to go hospital as we first feared, and happily there was no serious damage, but he certainly had a sore head at the weekend."

Vahid hopes to play in Tuesday's John Ullmann Kent Senior Cup semi-final at Bromley on Tuesday night, the winners meet Gravesend.
