Jim Ward: "I don't like chopping and changing"

Billericay v Ramsgate

Ramsgate boss Jim Ward could field an unchanged starting line-up in the Ryman League Premier Division game at Billericay on Saturday.

However, a flu bug has hit the squad affecting four or five players including goalkeeper Jack Delo. The former Charlton youngster missed last week's 3-2 FA Trophy win at Tonbridge, which means Danny Twyman is likely to keep his place, after his surprise return to the club.

He said: "It's great to be back with the lads again after more than a year away because I love the club. I stopped playing for family reasons, but everything is sorted out now."

Ward who had his squad training on the beach this week said: "I always aim to keep a winning side together and don't like chopping and changing."

Simon Pettit and Ben Laslett are back in light training and Warren Schulz was another absentee at Tonbridge.
