Gillingham find themselves 3-0 down at half-time after a hat-trick from Reading striker Dave Kitson.

Kitson struck in the very first minute, heading home Paul Brooker's cross from the left.

He then made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after former Gillingham striker Nicky Forster was brough down in the box by Ian Cox in the 15th minute.

Kitson scored another penalty 12 minutes later, when Nicky Southall fouled Ian Sidwell.
