FORMER Gillingham striker Marlon King will miss the game against England on Saturday after being sent home from the Jamaican squad for a breach of discipline.

King, who scored 47 goals in 116 appearances for Gills between 2000 and 2003, was due to start in Jamaica’s friendly game with England at Old Trafford before reportedly breaking a squad curfew.

The 26-year-old Watford player is also said to have refused to apologise to Jamaican Football Federation president Crenston Boxhill.

Boxhill said: "There was more to it than just breaking curfew and coming late. Marlon was rude and unapologetic."

King, whose teammates Jason Euell and Jamal Campbell-Ryce have also been fined 50 per cent of their match fees, has been replaced in the squad by Sheffield Wednesday striker Deon Burton.
