Faversham Town closed to within three points of the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs with a 3-1 win over Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.

Goals from Luke Harvey, Matt Bourne and Brendon Cass settled the game at Salters Lane, in which the visitors finished with 10 men.

Ray Turner's side are now just two points behind sixth-placed Folkestone Invicta, who drew 1-1 with Guernsey in the lunchtime kick-off at the Fullicks Stadium.

Invicta's first home game since before Christmas, played in front of a bumper gate of 296, saw Johan Ter Horst earn the home side a point after Guernsey had taken the lead through Matt Loaring.

The only other Kent side in action were Ramsgate, who went down 5-1 away at leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe. Ian Pulman had given the Rams a 23rd-minute lead but Peacehaven struck five times after the interval.

The games involving Sittingbourne, Herne Bay, Hythe Town and Whitstable Town were all postponed.

In the Premier Division, a 1-1 draw at home to Met Police meant Maidstone United were replaced at the top of the table by Kingstonian.

More than 2,000 were inside the Gallagher Stadium to see Frannie Collin's 54th-minute penalty cancelled out by Charlie Collins four minutes later.

Thamesmead Town boosted their survival hopes with a 1-0 win at home to Grays Athletic. The winning goal was a free-kick scored by former Ebbsfleet defender Derek Duncan.

However, a waterlogged pitch meant the game between Cray Wanderers and Margate was postponed.

Bad weather also called off the Division 1 North fixtures featuring Chatham Town, Erith & Belvedere and VCD Athletic.
