Maidstone United suffered a sixth straight away defeat on Saturday and had two players sent-off at AFC Hornchurch.

Stefan Payne's winning goal dropped the Stones down to third in the Ryman League Premier Division as a result of Dulwich's 2-2 draw with Enfield.

And the Stones finished with nine men after Alex Flisher and Michael Phillips - the latter in controversial circumstances - both saw red in Essex.

Margate had a good day, winning 3-0 at home to Margate. Jamie Stuart and Jefferson Louis (2) scored the goals for Terry Brown's side.

Relegation seems to be looming for Thamesmead Town but they did at least chalk up a 4-0 win at fellow strugglers Carshalton on Saturday.

Leslie Thompson (2), Jack Hopkins and George Whitelock were on target for the Mead, who are four points from safety but have played five games more than the sides around them.

Cray Wanderers remain rock-bottom despite drawing 2-2 with Wingate & Finchley on Sunday. Goals from Moses Ashikodi and Alex Stavrinou earned them a share of the spoils.

Goalkeeper Tim Roberts was the star of the show as Folkestone Invicta recorded a seventh straight home win in Division 1 South.

Johan ter Horst, Dane Luchford and Paul Booth scored to put Invicta 3-0 up against Horsham and Roberts then scored with a huge kick from the edge of his own penalty area.

Fourth-placed Folkestone are now just a point behind Guernsey with a game in hand.

Faversham Town's faint hopes of making the play-offs suffered a big blow when they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Merstham.

On-loan Maidstone midfielder Fabio Saraiva scored a hat-trick for the home side after Matt Bourne had given the Lilywhites a sixth-minute lead.

Ray Turner's side are now seven points adrift of the top-five.

Ramsgate were held to a 0-0 draw at Three Bridges but there were goals galore in the match between Burgess Hill Town and Hythe Town.

Shaun Welford (2), Craig Cloke, Louis Sprosen and John Walker got the goals which handed Scott Porter's side an incredible 5-4 win.

Sittingbourne lost 1-0 at home to Leatherhead and Stuart King's 78th-minute penalty couldn't stop Herne Bay going down 2-1 at home to Chipstead.

A 0-0 draw at Corinthian Casuals moved Whitstable Town to within two points of their local rivals from Winch's Field.

Chatham Town made the long trip home from Wroxham on the back of their seventh straight win in Division 1 North.

Ade Yussuff's hat-trick in Norfolk helped the Chats to a 4-3 win and their other goal was scored by Lee Hales.

VCD Athletic are two points clear at the top after winning 4-1 at home to Barkingside but second-bottom Erith & Belvedere lost 2-0 at home to Harlow Town.
