Scally ends Pulis feud after tribunal victory

GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally today called time on his four-year feud with former manager Tony Pulis after Bristol City were found guilty of making an illegal approach for him in June, 1999.

Pulis was sacked by Gillingham on June 30 and appointed City manager on July 5 when he signed a five-year contract.

A Football League tribunal fined City £50,000 and awarded Gillingham £50,000.

“That is the end of the matter because nothing more can be gained," said Mr Scally. “Justice has been done, we’ve moved on and we don't like looking back.
