TRIALLIST Mamady Sidibie takes centre stage at Priestfield tomorrow as Gillingham look to boost early season confidence by taking the scalp of Premier League Tottenham.

Glenn Hoddle’s men will play a supporting role in the eyes of Gillingham supporters clamouring to assess the 6ft 4in French striker who made such an instant impact with a first-half hat-trick in Wednesday's 10-0 rout of Dover.

Sidibie, nicknamed “Big Mama” by supporters at former club Swansea, is likely to start the match and may even play the full 90 minutes as the Gills boss looks for a convincing performance from the youngster against top class opposition.

But it is unlikely he will be partnered up front by newcomer Tommy Johnson, who is still troubled by a thigh problem. Sidibie's most likely partner is Rod Wallace, Gillingham's first major summer signing, who will be making his Priestfield debut.

Hessenthaler, who will mix and match Saturday's squad as he did at Dover, said: “I know it's Tottenham but the match is just a part of our preparation and we have another three games to go.

Tottenham’s Les Ferdinand, Steffen Iversen, Ledley King, Tim Sherwood and Steffan Freund are all doubtful through injury. In addition, World Cup players Teddy Sheringam, Christian Ziege and Kasey Keller have just reported back for pre-season training.

Slovenian international Milenko Acimovic, one of Tottenham's two major signings, look certain to face Gills but Hoddle may rest Jamie Redknapp.

Tottenham (from): Sullivan, Taricco, Perry Richards, Henry, Thatcher, Jackson, Anderton, Acimovic, Ricketts, Davies Doherty, Leohardsen, Etherington, Poyet, Rebrov.
