Slow start costs Lillywhites

Bromley 0 Worcester 2

Two goals in the opening four minutes sent Bromley crashing to a home defeat to Worcester in Blue Square South on Saturday.

The game was just 20 seconds old when Matthew Dodd broke down the right and found an unmarked Marco Adaggio who rifled the ball into the roof of the net from eight yards.

It was an awful start for the home side but things got much worse very quickly when another break down the right flank ended with Worcester skipper Craig Wilding sending an unstoppable shot into the top corner of Gareth Williams's goal from the edge of the box.

After their superb start, the visitors were happy to play on the break against a lacklustre Bromley side ravaged by injuries and suspensions.

Danny Hockton was denied by the woodwork in each half - first seeing a header come back off the upright before lobbing against the bar in the second period.

But in truth the Lillywhites were poor and looked a different side to the one that thrashed Eastleigh last Saturday and ran AFC Wimbledon so close on Bank Holiday Monday.
