JULIE Marsh, the wife of former Kent cricket captain Steve, is hosting a ladies evening in aid of the county’s 2002 beneficiary Martin McCague.

The event is being held at Chart Hills Golf Club near Biddenden on Friday, March 1. Eastenders’ star Shaun Williamson (aka Barry Evans), will be providing the post-meal entertainment.

Tickets, priced at £29 a head, are available individually or in tables of eight or 10 from Carol Buck at the benefit office, 6 Doubleday Drive, Bapchild, Kent, ME9 9PJ.

All proceeds will go to the former England fast bowler who has served the county since 1991.
