STIMSON: "There's no reason to have any fear. The players I've brought in will help take this club forward"

Gillingham v Cheltenham

MARK STIMSON insists his side will not panic ahead of Gillingham's clash with Cheltenham on Saturday.

The Gills are 18th in Coca-Cola League 1 and just one point off the relegation zone but manager Stimson is confident of turning things round.

He said: "You have to be realistic, look at the table and say we possibly could be involved in that.

"There's no reason to have any fear. The players I've brought in will help take this club forward. Now is a good test for them."

Cheltenham's perfect start to 2008 ended with a 1-0 defeat to Millwall on Tuesday but Stimson is still wary of the threat posed by the Robins.

He added: "They will bring a strong group down and be competitive. But it is about us and what we do.

"If we defend correctly and get our game going forward, then we can cause massive problems."

Striker Dennis Oli (hamstring) and Mark Bentley (achilles) are both available after missing the midweek defeat at Tranmere.

Nicky Southall will serve a one-match ban for receiving five cautions.
