Paul Booth returns with Cambridge City

Welling United v Cambridge City

WELLING’S Conference South credentials will be put to the test with a tough home game against Cambridge City on Saturday.

The match sees the return of striker Paul Booth, who was leading scorer in every season with the Wings before he left in the summer.

Booth said: "Hopefully I won’t get too much stick there because I left on good terms, but there may be some flying around. It’s something you’ve got to expect."

Welling manager Adrian Pennock, who will receive his manage-of-the-month award before the game, said: "Cambridge will be a hard game, they are a good side and the return of Boothy will add some spice to the game."

Chris Moore is suspended after his red card at Bognor while Steve Perkins (ankle) is still not 100 per cent fit.
