STRIKER Luke Varney completed 90 minutes on his return from an ankle injury as Charlton drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace in a practice match on Tuesday afternoon.

Cory Gibbs also featured for the opening 45 minutes, before being withdrawn as planned, while Sam Sodje, who joined the Addicks on loan from Reading just before the end of the August transfer window, played the entire match.

Other senior Addicks involved in the behind-closed-doors fixture at Sparrows Lane were Therry Racon, Dean Sinclair and Izale McLeod.
