Ramsgate v Billericay

Boss Jim Ward insists Ramsgate’s Ryman League Premier Division survival is still in their own hands as they gear up for a run of crucial games against teams around them.

The Rams remain in the bottom four and return to action with a game against Billericay Town at Southwood Stadium on Saturday.

Ward said: “I’m still 100 per cent sure that we have got the players to get us out of this trouble.

“Of course it is a concern. I’m not blind and know that we are in a relegation battle.

“We have still got to play eight of the bottom 10 teams before the end of the season. It is still in our own hands.”

Ramsgate drew 2-2 with Billericay in their corresponding fixture earlier in the season.

Ward added: “We’re doing okay at home so we’ll be going for it. We will take the game to them.”
