Welling defender Craig Braham-Barrett has joined Peterborough in a five-figure deal.

Braham-Barrett has spent the last week on trial at London Road and put pen to paper with the League 1 club on Thursday.

The package is worth £10,000 to the Wings - a clause that was in Braham-Barrett's contract - and also includes a sell-on fee.

Welling general manager Barry Hobbins said: "Craig isn't a player that we wanted to lose but the clause in his contract was activated and we wouldn't want to stand in his way."

"He made a big impression at the club and we all wish him well."

Braham-Barrett was previously with Charlton but joined Welling during the summer from East Thurrock.

The Wings have released Ryan Martin, Sol Pinnock and Chris Nurse while negotiations are believed to be continuing with a number of potential targets. Welling have also put in a seven days' notice of approach for an unnamed target.
