The 20-year-old man who died in a crash on Pilgrims Way on Wednesday night has been named as Luke Jay Mumford.

Mr Mumford, of Maidstone, was driving his blue Vauxhall Corsa on the road between Eccles and Blue Bell Hill at around 5.40pm when tragedy struck.

The former Maplesden Noakes pupil's car mounted a steep bank shortly after the road splits in two and flipped over, landing on its roof in a nearby field.
