AMBULANCE crews and police officers were called out on Monday night by someone claiming a boy had been shot through the heart.

The emergency services were called to Pilgrims Way, Boxley, near Maidstone, shortly after 9.30pm following reports that a boy had been shot with an air rifle.

Police confirmed one person has been arrested and is being held in custody on suspicion of making a hoax call.
