Tonbridge Angels had to settle for a point on the road after failing to hold onto their second half lead.

Tonbridge Angels striker Frannie Collin.

Frannie Collin had put Tonbridge ahead with just over an hour gone of the Blue Square Bet South fixture.

James Love almost responded immediately for Hornchurch, with a shot against the crossbar, but it was all-square within 11 minutes as Lewis Smith guided the ball home.

In the latter staged the visitors were grateful to keeper Lee Worgan for denying AFC a win, as he made saves from Martin Tuohy and Frankie Curley.

The result leaves Tonbridge ninth in the table on goal difference and just three points off the play-offs.
