Air ambulance called to crash on A20 near Harrietsham

At least one man has been injured in a crash between a lorry and a car on the A20 this evening.

The air ambulance was called and police are on the scene following the accident at the junction of Ham Lane.

Firefighters helped to free a man who was trapped following the crash, and he was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, not thought to be life-threatening.

The road has been shut and eyewitnesses report serious delays in the area, stretching back to Harrietsham.

The police serious crash investigation team is at the scene and officers have asked drivers to avoid the area.
