Air ambulance lands near children's park in Armstrong Road, Maidstone

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, have been spotted near a children's park.

A helicopter was pictured landing in South Park along Armstrong Road, Maidstone, at around 10.20am.

A car from the fire service and paramedics from the ambulance service were also in attendance.

People in nearby housing backing onto the field flocked to the park to see what was happening.

An air ambulance spokesman said: “A helicopter from Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) attended a patient in Loose on August 8.

"Our crew arrived on scene at 11:20 where they worked with SECAmb to help treat the patient who was taken to a specialist hospital by air.”

A fire service spokesman said: "We were called at 10.43am today to assist SECAmb in Loose Road, Maidstone."

The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
