Appeal after assault on railway bridge

KENT Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by a youth who approached him as he walked over a railway bridge.

The incident happened in the Fant area of Maidstone when two couples were approached by a group of youths.

One of the youths began to shout abuse and then assaulted one of the men from the two couples, causing a minor injury to his shoulder.

The youth, and the group he was with, are described as aged 15-16 and wearing hoody style tops.

The incident happened on June 17 at around 9.30pm. Witnesses, or anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Maidstone and Malling Police on 01622 608189, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. This call is free and confidential.
