Maidstone: Police appeal after woman reportedly assaults man in Willington Street

A woman has been arrested after a man suffered cuts to his body in a street attack.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault, which left the victim needing hospital treatment.

The attack is alleged to have happened between 10.40pm and 11.10pm yesterday in Willington Street, Maidstone.

It is alleged the victim, a man in his 50s, was outside a hairdresser's at the southern end of the street when he was assaulted by a woman he knew.

The victim subsequently found he had cuts to his upper body and was taken to a London hospital.

A woman in her 30s was later arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
