Appeal after robbers strike at betting shop

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three robbers raided a bookmaker's in Sutton Road, Maidstone.

The men, who were black, wearing dark clothing and had their hoods up, walked into the Coral bookmakers and threatened staff before making off with a quantity of cash.

No weapons were seen and no one was injured in the robbery which happened shortly after 6pm on Wednesday.

It is believed the men were using a white Vauxhall Cavalier or similar car, with a registration number similar to J345 FGY.
