Assault near law courts prompts appeal

POLICE are appealing for information after an assault in which a 22-year-old man suffered cuts and bruises to his face and a chipped tooth.

The incident happened outside a newsagents, in Barker Road, Maidstone, near the law courts, on Sunday, November 13, between 1.45am and 2.15am.

Maidstone and Malling police spokeswoman said it was believed to be an unprovoked atttack. She added: "Unfortunately, there is no description of the offender or offenders."
