Here's a puss with a sorry tale - but which will hopefully have a happy ending.

Basil the cat must have been a stray for some time but since being taken in by the RSPCA’s Maidstone and Weald branch, he’s blossomed.

The black and white chap, who is thought to be around six years old, is now a gentle, loving and friendly cat.
