Maidstone: Bike taken during alleged assault on Sutton Road

Officers investigating an alleged assault where the victim's bike was taken are appealing for witnesses.

A man reported that his bike was taken while he was inside a shop on Sutton Road, Maidstone, close to the junction with Mangravet Avenue, on Sunday, February 26.

When he challenged two people outside the premises who he believed knew who had taken the bike, he was allegedly punched in the face. This incident happened around 6.30pm.

The victim received hospital treatment for injuries to his jaw.

The bike has since been recovered, and Kent Police has arrested two teenage boys in connection with the incident.

They remain on bail, pending further inquiries, until Tuesday.

Police believe there were a number of witnesses to the incident, and are urging people to get in touch.
