Tonbridge Angels took an early lead at Blue Square Bet South promotion hopefuls Boreham Wood on Saturday but lost 4-2.

Tommy Warrilow, pictured, saw his side make a good start when Mikel Suarez headed home a 10th-minute corner to put the visitors in front.

Wood equalised through Greg Morgan four minutes later and went ahead on 36 minutes with a Michael Thalassitis strike.

Loick Pires moved the hosts well clear with goals on 53 and 55 minutes before Tonbridge pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time with Suarez again on target.

The defeat leaves Angels 17th in the table, only two points clear of the bottom four.
