Kent Police seek witnesses over mystery of man, 21, discovered in Boxley Road in Maidstone with serious head injuries

An investigation is under way after a young man was found with mysterious head injuries in a Maidstone street.

The 21-year-old was discovered seriously hurt in Boxley Road, near the Fintonagh Drive junction.

Detectives are now trying to establish how he suffered the injuries and today appealed for witnesses.

Kent Police said the man was discovered at about 8.10am on Tuesday, February 4.

He was taken to King's College Hospital, in London, with serious head injuries as well as cuts and bruises to his face. He has since been discharged.

A police spokesman said: "Officers have been conducting enquiries to establish how the man sustained his injuries and would like to speak to anyone who saw him walking down Boxley Road on the morning of 4 February, or anyone who stopped to help the man while emergency services made their way to the scene."
