Chaos as lorry spills bricks on roundabout outside Hop Farm on A228 at East Peckham

This was the scene after a lorry dropped its load of bricks on a roundabout outside the Hop Farm this morning.

The vehicle shed several pallets of bricks at about 8.15am, sparking congestion for commuters.

Kent Police's road policing unit said delays are "likely" on the A228 Branbridges Road, in East Peckham.

The Highways Agency urged motorists to approach the scene with caution.

Workers were seen trying to clear the obstruction, with emergency services blocking part of the roundabout.
