A broken down bus on a main route into Maidstone caused travel chaos this morning.

The vehicle stopped in one lane of the A229 Fairmeadow heading towards Bishops Way.

A recovery service attended the scene to assist the single-decker Nu-Venture service and the route was soon cleared.
